Thinking about our safari

Educational Tours

Thinking about our safari catalogue and different range of people that we can cater for, we have thought about many students or institutions that would like to organize for an African educational safari, featuring the Attractions of East Africa, Mammals and Plants, History and Prehistory, Cultures or even bird watching to anything like professional guiding skills. It is for that reason that we have thought of introducing some educational safari programs.

In order to provide a good quality and a high level of services to the majority of the clients who spend time and resources on serious Nature Tours, we have also decided to introduce some special educational programs for Safari Guides and Naturalists. Some of the Safari Guides and Naturalists in East Africa would like to learn more about professional guiding skills and good quality clients handling etiquette, besides the techniques and ability to interpret their attractions very well. In particular; most of them would like to learn more about birding and Birds of East Africa or even more about all our attractions. Ben’s Ecological Safaris regularly organizes some educational tours and lessons for many Organizations, Schools and Tour Companies, which have guides who mostly work with guests directly.

In the last few years, Ben’s Ecological Safaris in conjunction with Air Travel and Related Studies Centre has been hosting a naturalist/guides/couriers/reservations clerk’s refresher courses that have successfully seen many students qualify respectively. More courses will be offered in the future and will be ultimately advertised accordingly!

From time to time and depending with availability, we usually incorporate many fine African, American, Australian and U.K based top Guides and Naturalists who mostly guide tours all over the world; we organize regular educational tours even for our own staffs in order to polish our professional operational skills. Also with a sophisticated team of professionals, some former wildlife school lecturers, rangers and professional trackers, fine Naturalists-guides and our rich library full of wonderful collection of teaching materials like over 3000 slides, digital photos and bird calls sound tracks, binoculars, scopes and books, we feel that we are set to lecture and organize practical tours to anyone who require those kind of services. We have also been able to create good relationships with the most key educational organizations in East Africa to provide high quality educational programs.

Currently we have retrained and organized various refresher training for many safari driver guides from many leading companies, as well as a couple of resident naturalists attached to various reputable chains of Camps, Lodges and Organizations in East Africa. We have also been able to host a couple of students from a number of institutions both local and abroad, besides a number of researchers and especially university students doing their thesis in different subjects.
